A quiet room in a loud building.
MANE was opened by the team behind Aesthetic & Co, who had spent years watching people leave beauty appointments more frazzled than when they arrived. The problem was rarely the haircut. It was everything around it — the noise, the waiting, being passed between four sets of hands.
So we built the opposite. A single private room on the fourth floor of Far East Plaza, glass on one side and trees beyond it. Professional equipment, Keune colour and care from Holland, and a stylist with a decade behind the chair who sits down with you before anything is picked up.
We were named Best Male Salon two years running. Around forty percent of the people in that chair are women.
The room was never built for one kind of person. It was built for anyone who'd rather have one very good hour than a cheaper, noisier ninety minutes — and that turns out to describe a lot of people.
